Walter H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering student Bobby Patel is passionate about helping people, especially children, access quality healthcare.

In addition to her academic work, Patel is exploring her interests through a variety of experiences, from researching how electrical signals can treat pediatric brain cancer to shadowing a pediatric gastroenterologist to touring materials science laboratories in Europe. She's doing it debt-free thanks to the G. Wayne Clough Tech Promise Scholarship, a need-based program for qualifying Georgia residents.
