Ankur Singh, the Carl Ring Family Professor in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering and the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory, will lead Georgia Tech’s new Emerging Technologies for Human-Oriented Systems (ETHOS) initiative in his role as deputy director of the Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience.
 
ETHOS is a cross-disciplinary effort focused on advancing human-centered research technologies, including new approach methodologies (NAMs) that more closely replicate human biology. These technologies could accelerate the development of safer, more effective therapies for conditions including cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurological disorders.
