Dr. Ellen Zerbe is a Lecturer in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University. She received her BSME from Grove City College in 2017 and her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Her graduate research was in Engineering Education where she studied engineering graduate student writing, well-being, and attrition. In 2021 she was hired as a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech to assist in curriculum development and innovation associated with NSF RED and KEEN grants. In 2023 she moved to her current position where she teaches introductory engineering design, biomechanics, and professional development courses using evidence-based pedagogy like problem-based learning and story-driven learning.
