Research Interests
Prof. Davis’ research focuses on the design and development of biomolecular and biomaterial systems for targeted drug delivery and regenerative medicine. His work investigates molecular interactions, controlled release mechanisms, and tissue engineering scaffolds to improve therapeutic outcomes. This research integrates principles from chemistry, biology, and engineering to create innovative solutions for complex biomedical problems, with active participation from graduate and undergraduate researchers.
Our laboratory focuses on various aspects of cardiac regeneration and preservation using molecular-based and biomaterials-based approaches to restoring function after cardiac injury. By using computational systems modeling and novel stem cell-based engineering, we can repair the adult and pediatric heart.
