With more than five decades of administrative and financial expertise, Sheyil R. Taylor drives operational excellence in support of cutting‑edge academic research. She provides strategic guidance to multiple principal investigators and manages a wide range of complex administrative functions across sponsored and non-sponsored projects. Her responsibilities span day‑to‑day research operations, event coordination, and intricate logistical support, including domestic and international purchasing, travel management, meeting planning, and comprehensive calendar oversight.

Recognized as a solutions-driven professional, Sheyil excels in streamlining processes, prioritizing strategically, and multitasking effectively within dynamic academic environments. Her leadership fosters collaboration and enhances team performance through dedicated staff training and clear communication across faculty, administrative units, and financial offices.

Sheyil’s commitment to institutional values and operational excellence has been honored with the 2023 Culture Champion Award and the 2024 L.O.V.E. (Loving Our Values Everyday) Recognition at Georgia Tech, celebrating her consistent embodiment of core mission-driven principles in her daily work.
