Dr. Bercu is an interventional radiologist whose activities have included medical device innovation, innovation education, prostate artery embolization, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts, percutaneous mesocaval shunts, locoregional therapies including Yttrium-90 radioembolization and chemoembolization, microwave ablation, transradial interventions, complex venous disease, pharmacomechanical thrombectomy, submassive pulmonary embolism, embolization guidance technology, peripheral arterial disease, vertebral augmentation, and endovascular simulation. He is the Assistant Program Director for Interventional Radiology Residency and Fellowship and serves on the Steering Committee of the Georgia Center for Medical Robotics. He has developed gesture-based image review solutions in the angiosuite and previously received a grant for mobile radiology education. He is involved in the fostering innovation for clinical and educational efficacy and has presented internationally. For his exemplary level of patient care, he has achieved clinical distinction as a Senior Physician in the Emory School of Medicine.
