Dr. Chuan Huang holds the position of Associate Professor of Radiology and Imaging Sciences and serves as the Director of PET-MRI Research at Emory University. He obtained his PhD from the University of Arizona, and completed his postdoc training at Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard Medical School. Before his arrival at Emory, he was an integral part of Stony Brook University's imaging community, where he held tenured status as an Associate Professor of Radiology and served as the Director of PET/MRI Clinical Research. His extensive expertise in PET and MRI image analysis, and the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence in medical imaging, is well-documented through his contribution to over 60 peer-reviewed journal publications (as of 2023). He has served as the Principal Investigator on awards funded by both federal (NIH) and foundation entities (NARSAD, Parkinson's Foundation, Carol M. Baldwin Foundation).
