Platt Lab Mission: To learn how stem cells and terminally differentiated cells use proteases and cues from the extracellular matrix (ECM), or from products of matrix degradation, to integrate into established tissue and repair damaged regions. Understanding the intracellular signaling crosstalk and physiological remodeling processes in both our stem cell and cardiovascular studies with experimental and computational methods will provide the keys to unlock new targets for regenerative medicine therapies.
Welcome to new graduate students, Marilyn Markowski (B.S. in BME from Univ of Virginia and Ivana Kennedy (B.S. in ME from Univ of Florida)
