Platt Lab Mission: To learn how stem cells and terminally differentiated cells use proteases and cues from the extracellular matrix
(ECM), or from products of matrix degradation, to integrate into established tissue and repair damaged regions. Understanding the
intracellular signaling crosstalk and physiological remodeling processes in both our stem cell and cardiovascular studies with experimental
and computational methods will provide the keys to unlock new targets for regenerative medicine therapies.
